AGIC renews support for AIRC and commitment to cancer research

Inaugurated the 1st Emiliano Incalza Memorial:
sports and participation in his memory

AGIC renews its commitment alongside AIRC – Italian Foundation for Cancer Research, supporting activities and projects dedicated to cancer scientific research in Italy. For over fifty years, AIRC has been one of the main private funders of independent cancer research. Through support for excellent projects, training of young researchers, and promoting a culture of prevention, it concretely contributes to the progress of oncology medicine and the improvement of treatment prospects.

In this context, AGIC confirms its willingness to be an active part in supporting research, integrating its technological vision with a concrete commitment to the community. Participation in socially valuable initiatives represents a central element for AGIC in a path of responsible growth, capable of combining innovation with a positive impact on people and the territory.

Starting this year, AGIC has also chosen to make this commitment an annual occurrence, identifying June 9 as a symbolic day dedicated to supporting cancer research and sharing values of solidarity and participation.

“Emiliano Incalza Memorial”

The commitment to supporting research takes on an even deeper meaning in the memory of Emiliano Incalza, a respected colleague and a point of reference for the AGIC community, who passed away on June 9, 2025, following a serious oncological illness.

To honor his memory, AGIC has decided to accompany the donation with a moment of gathering and sharing, establishing an annual padel tournament, a sport Emiliano loved and actively promoted within the company.

On May 16, 2026, at the Torricella Sports Center in Francavilla Fontana (BR), the “1st Emiliano Incalza Memorial” was held, an initiative born to share a moment of sports, participation, and collective memory.

The tournament brought together colleagues and participants in a meaningful occasion of gathering and team spirit, expressing through presence and sharing a genuine and collective memory.

We remember our colleague Emiliano Incalza with affection and gratitude: his smile, dedication, and humanity will continue to serve as an example for the entire AGIC community.
